Dumitru Basarabov - Patron Saint of Bucharest

Every year, on the 27th of October, Orthodox Christians in Romania celebrate Saint Dumitru Basarabov. This day is especially important for the inhabitants of Bucharest, as Dumitru Basarabov is also the patron
saint of the city. On this occasion, thousands of people are lining the streets nearby the Patriarchal Church to venerate the relics of the Saint.
