Between 2000 and 3000 people have protested today in Bucharest against a controversial bill by the Government allowing the mining of gold by Roșia Montană Gold Corporation (RMGC) - a company with a Canadian majority stakeholder (Gabriel Resources) at Roșia Montană (Apuseni Mountains). Similar protests have taken place in more than 20 cities around the country as well as in cities outside Romania.
